How We Got Started
How It All Began
My journey into Ragdoll breeding began with a difficult experience that changed the way I looked at breeding forever. I purchased a Ragdoll from a backyard breeder, believing I was bringing home a healthy kitten. Sadly, he was very sick and, despite giving him the very best care and all the love in the world, I had only three precious years with him.
Losing him was heartbreaking, but it also taught me some very important lessons. I began educating myself about Ragdolls, responsible breeding practices, genetics, health testing, temperament, and what it truly means to preserve this incredible breed. The more I learned, the more I realized that becoming a breeder was something I wanted to approach with knowledge, integrity, and a deep respect for the Ragdoll breed.
That journey eventually led me to Bette Willette, who has become an invaluable mentor and guide. Bette has generously shared her knowledge and experience with me and has helped educate me on the many aspects of responsible Ragdoll breeding. Her mentorship has given me the foundation, confidence, and understanding needed to build a small, ethical cattery focused on doing things the right way.
Our Commitment
Our goal is simple: to raise healthy, happy, affectionate, cuddly, and wonderfully floppy Ragdoll kittens in an ethical and responsible environment.
We are committed to preserving the qualities that make Ragdolls so special while honoring the traditional colors and patterns of the breed. Health and temperament will always come first, and every kitten will be raised with love, care, socialization, and attention to their individual needs.
My first Ragdoll taught me some very hard lessons. Today, those lessons are part of the reason I am so passionate about doing better. I believe that responsible breeding is about more than producing beautiful kittens—it is about protecting the health, temperament, and future of the breed we love.
Every kitten deserves the best possible beginning, and that is the promise we strive to keep.
